Bottling Day at Jolene Family Winery: A Behind-the-Scenes Look

Bottling wine is one of the most exciting days at Jolene Family Winery. It marks the final stage of the wine's journey in production before being stored until it reaches our tasting room for pouring, tasting, and enjoying. Each session, we cork thousands of bottles. Here’s a glimpse into the journey each bottle takes before it gets to you.

Thanks to Our Volunteers

Bottling day would not be possible without our incredible volunteers. We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who comes out to support our family-owned business. While it can be a fun day, it also involves a lot of hard work. We deeply appreciate your dedication and continuous support.

Upcoming Wine Releases

Stay tuned for the release of these new vintages. Remember, wine club members will have exclusive early access to try them first in our tasting room. Cheers to enjoying great wine together!

We hope to see you at Jolene Family Winery soon, where every bottle tells a story of passion, dedication, and community spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or new to the world of wine, there’s something special waiting for you here.

Cheers!

The Start of a Busy Day

Our day begins bright and early, with setup starting around 7 a.m., and by 8 a.m., the session is in full swing. The large truck that pulls up might appear ordinary from the outside, but inside, it’s an intricate assembly line. A dedicated team of volunteers works swiftly to send bottles through the process where they are filled with wine, corked, labeled, and then boxed and stored for future enjoyment.

July Bottling

This July, we bottled two special wines: our Cabernet Franc and Lakeview Red. The Cabernet Franc is our 2022 vintage, harvested in 2022, processed, and aged in oak barrels until bottling day. As for the Lakeview Red, it is a delightful blend of Touriga, Chambourcin, and Norton, all harvested in 2023.
